Wow! This auction has received 49 bids and is almost at the top of the SCF Hot US Auctions. Wild! Anyone have any explanations? Are there people out there that specifically collect repacked stamps?
Given that the 38 was cut on all four sides, pasted onto some backing paper, design hand colored in on the sides and the backing perforated in the wrong gauge it is inexplicable why the bidding is aggressive.
The 37 also appears to have design drawn in.
Oh, and the black cancel on the 38 was applied when the backing was applied.
