Hi guys
This may be a silly question, but because of my lack of knowledge on American stamps, I will ask the question anyways.

This Inter Revenue stamp has a hand cancel which looks like a "W.K.D."
Is this a possible postmaster initial or just a random cancel..I know, silly question.

An internal revenue stamp very commonly used on checks, thus canceled by the user - the writer of the check (or other taxed document), although it should also have a date. A typical use:
