Thank you perf12.
Unfortunately in all the works on "chiffres espaces" I did not find the distance between 0 and 5 for the 2 types of varieties.
Is it 1.7 and 2 mm?
For overprint 05 I have a few copies but for 10 none.

In the study, the use of typographic points are used. That is because the surcharges were not positioned exactly on each stamp in the sheet, positions in each row in respect to the sheet margin varied when the printers were setting up the matrice.
1) normal setting.
2) 1 point (normal+0.4mm)
2) 2 points (normal +0.8mm)
For Anjouan & Moheli there were only 8 numerals with wider settings in the sheet. With points 1 & 2. (on page 12)
The Indochine Grasset surcharged wide setting 05 existed only once in the sheet and the numeral 10 only twice.
That's why they are rare.
Differences should be measured from the center of each numeral:

The "ghosting" on the edge of "05" is an artifact of typographic printing, nothing more. You can also see it on the red overprints on the Anjouan stamps.

Back to the 2fr. What is the slightly curved reddish-brownish mark on the first stamp in the trio that runs through the "2fr" box? Humor me if you will and put a UV lamp on it and see if someone could have removed a crayon mark from it and from the other green ones. If so, then a chemical used to clean it might explain a color change and the extreme loss of the Chinese characters of value.

The grasset stamp (no surcharge)was available in indochina at the time. There was no ghosting in the printing beyond the normal width and dimensions of the ovpt. The Anjouan 'ghosting ' does not exceed the normal width of the horizontal top bar.If certificates are needed for these wide spacing surcharges it's because doubts exist.
Many clandestine (forgeries) were produced at the time that used the original type sets and were like the officially printed stamps.Forgeries are a different story.
