Hello to everyone: I've been collecting stamps for a few years and have a little of everything. My Mother in Law gave me a you S album when my Father in Law passed away. I put it on a shelf where it stayed for several years. While working for the Criminal Investigation Division (I'm a retired COP) I noticed that the Pawn Shop Unit was receiving returns (list of pawns) and the envelopes had "old" stamps on them. I asked them to save them and when I retired I had 7 bags of stamps. I put them in a box and they sat for a few years before I met a neighbor who was an avid collector. One thing led to another, I got the album off the shelf and to my amazement I put quite a few stamps in it. I then got my hands on an old World Album (with stamps) and so it began. My neighbor passed away a few years back, but I continued with the stamps after I retired from a second job (glutton for punishment) and now I "play" with the stamps to occupy my time. My problem is, what to do with all the extra stamps that I have? Looking forward to being a member of this forum. Thanks!
Welcome! I am also from Maryland. I am a part of the Baltimore Philatelic Society. I highly recommend finding a club to attend and some clubs accept donation of excess material. I know we do.
