Help Identifying This 24 Cent Scott #37 Type

Has me baffled. was in a box of turn of century covers and loose stamps of that era. far right edge of paper under First Class has edge of 2nd stamp I'm leaning toward Scott 45 I'm open for suggestions

Hard to be sure without a much better scan than that.

It could be a 45P3 cut to shape and pasted on whatever its on.

Both #37 and #45 are much closer together on the sheet than what is seen here with the two adjacent stamps, so, most likely either you have

- complete facsimiles pasted on a piece of paper, or
- possibly 2 45P3's cut to shape and pasted on (Those are the India proofs).

With the poor scan, this is just guesswork.
