While researching Indian stamps there were a few sites that had the single version of this stamp listed as rare. If that is the case, how rare would a pair be? I couldn't find evidence of a pair through a Google search and was curious. Thanks for sharing. Jon

Hi,
this is India SG catalogue number 309.It only has a value of 10p im afraid. It may have an inverted watermark and if so would have a catalogue value of £85 each. You would need to soak off the stamps from the paper to determine that.

You have to take those "Rare" claims with a grain of salt. The sellers in many cases are showing off a 10c stamp and claiming it is rare to generate a sale. That is why you need so know at least a bare minimum before buying stamps on the internet. In this case you have a very common stamp unless it has an inverted watermark.

And even if sellers were offering a copy with an inverted watermark, it wouldn't be "rare" or even scarce. £85 in Gibbons translates to around £20 in the real world.
