Prolific philatelists,

Is there a database of US FDCs? I want to find out if a stamp was issued on August 1, 1982 and I cannot find anything after substantial searching.

I am willing to expand my interest internationally if the US comes up short.

Have you tried a Scott catalog? The Jackie Robinson stamp was issued on 2 August 1982 - that is as close as any come

Stamp Smarter has issue dates in its Pop Up Identifier (at bottom of every page).

I have found that the Postal Service Guide to U.S. Stamps also have the date of issue (first date?) along with Scott #.
