I saw these recently and was interested in them not knowing anything about covers. What are these called or referred to and what do they retail for typically at a stamp show or online? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Event covers, two with pictorial postmarks. You might find them in the 50 cent boxes at a stamp bourse.

Yes, the 50 cent boxes end even then you would not expect to find a line of people eager to pay that much. Many dealers will not offer these for sale since they incur a basic overhead cost for everything they have in their inventory - mainly for the value of their time to offer it, to pay to carry or ship it from show to show, to pay for their own salary and any employees they have, to pay for their store rent if they have a store, to pay for their space at each show they sell at, etc. etc. In the end you are getting very low value covers such as these for free and are simply paying the dealer for their time and trouble to offer things like this. They make their money on rare covers and stamps. You can buy large quantities of these wholesale on places like ebay for a few cents each. Some sellers try to sell them one by one and ask unrealistic starting prices to either catch new collectors unaware, or to simply pay for their time and costs to list each cover and pay the ebay fees and such.

But these having almost no commercial value is is great news since if you like them then you can start buying and collecting them and create a large collection for very little money. Find ones that you personally like and enjoy arranging them into a collection, but do not expect it to be an investment of any kind. Just collect them for the value to you of having fun which it priceless.
