Only 11 copies of these stamps exist and 3 are in the royal collection of the Queen. When I was a kid, used to come across this copy in the magazines and books and thought it would be impossible for anyone to own it. SG has this for sale and I am m not sure if it has been sold. Would anyone be crazy enough to spend £151k on this stamp has thinning issues and stain? For the past week, I was just toying with the idea of flying down to SG in London just to see the stamp and possibly buy it if it is still around.

For usd197k, this will etch your name in philatelic history as the owner of one the rarest stamps in the world. I personally find this stamp going at a huge discount compared to let's say a penny red plate 77 which went for more than £400k, the perot being a more famous stamp in philatelic history. One reservation however is like the 1 cent magenta, these great rarities aren't in good condition. Most of the surviving perots have thinning issues behind.
