I just placed Scott #9, position 76R1L into my collection. This gives me a complete replating of Plate 1 Late.

I did this once before, in my first collecting life. At that time it took me about 20 years, working through mail auctions, retail dealers by mail, and the occasional show or bourse. Much of this material was faulty (what I could afford).

This time it took me just under 4 years, with much higher quality on a lower (retirement) income. The difference? The Internet. No question in my mind that it has been a boon to the collector.

Nice! Great job.
Would love to fill in the holes in the Stamp Smarter Plate 1 Late images, any chance you could help out with the missing positions?

Great job, Dudley. A tough accomplishment.

I am a long way off from completing plate 1 late.
I wish you had high res photos of them to add to the database.

Congrats. Great accomplishment. I'm still working on top row plate 1L (2 years now).
Wish I had more time.
