I've had this stamp for decades and am just now getting around to figuring out what it is. I thought it might be from an envelope but I don't see any envelopes with this design in Scotts. Certainly looks like an imperforate on three sides. The fourth side I guess could have been perfed. Would that mean this is the first stamp in the 721 coil?

Your stamp is trimmed from a somewhat miscut booklet pane like this one:

Easy to fool one into believing they have an imperforate error.

Thanks for the prompt answers. So the catalogue number for the stamp is a 720?
