Hi I'm new here and apologize in advance if this is not the correct sub forum.
I've been using Stampworlddotcom as my references to sort some of my dad's stamps collection that eventually I find interesting. However there are 4 unidentified stamps so far and I hope you guys can give some information.
Indeed I tried to googling but still there are various information in regards to the year issued which confused me.
Also, can you guys give me some reference to other stamps website/forums because I still feel that Stampworlddotcom isn't comprehensive enough.
Thanks in advance!

Below are the pictures of the stamps:

The first one is USSR, 1965 Schoolchildren's Spartakiad (like an Olympic Games for schoolchildren, basically) issued August 12. SG3177.

Well for world stamps you need a country identifier first.

CCCP is the old Soviet Union
Korea is Korea
Those symbols are China
Helvetia is Switzerland

thestampcollector.net can be helpful getting these countries figured out.

Then you can use a Scott catalog. See if you can find one at a local library if you do not have one.

Dear vayolene, Tim H, ggreve, and DrewM
Thanks for the quick information and I really appreciate it. Anyhow I still can't clearly identify the 3rd (China / Taiwan) and the 4th (Switzerland) stamps.

The Chinese stamp is from the People's Republic of China, not Taiwan (R.O.C.), Scott number 1736, issued 1 April 1983.

In the Scott catalogue, the Swiss stamp is under "Official Stamps," in the subsection "For the International Labor Bureau," Scott number 3O106, issued 13 Feb. 1975.

Thanks a bunch erilaz and vayolene.
I've tried to search out the swiss on stampworlddotcom but couldn't find it. Or isn't there yet?

To erilaz, would you mind explaining further the meaning of "official stamps" as what in my mind all stamps are official?

Official stamps were and are produced for use by government bodies, rather than the general public. Indeed, they were usually produced to prevent theft and use of ordinary postage stamps by government employees. The stamps may be specially orepared designs or standard stamps overprinted or perforated with the initials of the individual department.

Limi7less, if you can not find some stamps on stampworld ( like the Swiss officials ), on the right hand side of a page on stampworld is a drop-down box with the header "search". Click on the box under it that says "postage sta" and all the different United Nations departments will show. Official stamps are listed there
