Hello
In the album were these 7 1956 Germany DDR Officials On Set Granite paper WMK 5,10,15,20,25,30,40 Pf

I know that their are different verities and I hope that mine are the right ones ??? hopefully they all have original gum and it is crackled you know all tiny cracks in the glue.

They have this stamps on ebay for hundreds of dollars and the

Michael's # is I think 29y-33y for the 5 they have on ebay but my set has 6 they are granite paper and have the same watermark.

So if you know of a website that has the different types please reply

The stamps are Perf: 14

I'm still looking and i'll update this once as I find them

I got a few others Different that look the same as high valued ones I guess the guy that had this album mainly collected German stamps because its nearly complete from the late 1800's to 1950's with a lot of DDR's also

Thanks Austin

They are all type B centres (end of curved section to the right)
The 5, 10 15 and 20 pf are Perf 14 issued in 1958 and will have granite paper.
The others are Perf 13x12.5 (count the holes on the top edge)
I doubt the 25pf has granite paper.
Gibbons does not list values for mint copies as they were not issued in mint state but some sold to collectors later.

I don't think these have any value. I can see the ebay seller(s) chancing their luck, but stamps are worth what people are prepared to pay, not whatever the asking price is.

For comparison, check this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/germany-...AOSwuGhbt65u

It's been on there for a month, he's inviting bids of less than £20 and there are no takers - and this, for very attractive strips with margin inscriptions, which would be worth many more times than an individual stamp.

Michel 29y/33y are perf 13x12,5 . Mint copies are very rare, but I don't think your stamps come from this set.
The 5,10,15 and 20pf are probably Mi 34/37yBY
The 25 pf doesn't exist on granite paper.
The 30 and 40pf are probably Mi 38/39yAY
Sorry but no one of them is actually valuable.

The Mi 29y - 33y (unlisted in Scott) are hybrids. They can be determined not only by paper type but also by watermark. Let me explain:

Your stamps are the redrawn type (lined background). There were two issues. The first issue was on plain paper with watermark WZ2 (Scott 297)

The second issue was on granite paper with a different watermark WZ3 (Scott 313)

The 29y - 33y are on granite paper with WZ 2 (Scott 297)watermark.

Granite paper is a necessary but not sufficient condition. You need to check the watermark. If you think you have a 29y - 33y I would recommend a certification from BPP (the German expertizers)

I hope this helps

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.
