Good morning to you all. I am a long time collector who started to specialise in stamps of Italy and its colonies about 25 years ago. As my collection has reached the point where gaps are either very difficult to find or rather expensive I have added Austria and Hungary to my list, with minor collections of France, Germany, Scandanavia and the Netherlands.
I chose Italy because my father had business connections with a family firm in Prato, and most of my fellow collectors in the local stamp club collected GB and Commonwealth. I have an extensive GB collection, but stopped getting new issues a few years ago as most are no longer available at any of our local PO's, and sets have become very expensive.
