RAMBLER! It used to really irk me when people at work would tease me... "how's the Rambler?" they'd say when referring to my 1974 Javelin 401...

Q/ Measured as area per passenger, who has the bigger wings?

The caption tells me that Mohawk Airlines flew the Convair 440 from 1959-1966.

This photo dates from 1960.

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

The cars aren't as old as some shown here but here's a couple from Oshawa Ontario.
The first showing one of the main streets and the other of the GM plant where they were assembled.
My guess would be the late 40's.

Cheers, Bill

Here's a nice early postcard.
Really nice looking car for the 1907 copyright date shown on the front of the card.

Cheers, Bill

Just picked up another postcard with a couple of cars. Posted from Sylvandale, a short lived Mendocino county post office, 29 Apr 1911 to 30 Sep 1918.

Browsing the collectable postcard category on the bay this morning, I saw a familiar card (with car) that I haven't posted in this thread. I have shown the back in a 2017 thread, but didn't show the front. So, here we are! Did every town have a Union Hotel?

This one isn't in my actual collection, just my "digital collection"... it is from a neighboring town and is just plain nifty!

Here are two, circa 1915, that were intended to help promote Route 30, the newly constructed Columbia Gorge Highway. It was a perfect excursion for automobiles and several long stretches still exist.
