In part two we looked at Coronation stamps. Labels were popular in their day, too. People would dress-up their envelopes with these sorts of things. I was thinking of LondonBus when I was doing this section.
Here is one from Canada... from the I.O.D.E.

The I.O.D.E. (Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire) is a women's charitable organisation. They held teas and such to raise funds for community projects.
This one is from Quebec, locally printed. I am not sure who printed this one, but I rather like it, eh?

The following set, by Parkshaw Publishing of London, was sold in Great Britain, Canada, Australia, NZ, and the U.S. There were sixty labels in the set. I have 56.
Here is the letter that was in each envelope:

... and here is a selection of the labels...

Poster Stamp Publicity Ltd. of London, England printed these colourful beauties:

I do not know who made the following labels, but they are engraved and colourful!

The famed stamp printing firm of Harrison and Sons got into the act, too. With this lovely set. Hey, there is even a couple of varieties!

I do not have any of these on a cover, tied by a postmark.. they are very difficult to find, as you had to put these on the BACK of the cover. I'm sure a few got through.
Hope you are enjoying this... I'm having a ball.
