Hello everyone this morning I bought a number of postcards. There were some Tasmania cards.

I was looking at them and asked myself: for how long were Tasmanian stamps valid.

Was there a cutoff date, like 31st of December 1916?

Thank you for your answer.

2 of the cards. one from 12 January 1914 and another from probably 7th of April 1914. Both postmarks are not perfect.

Any Australian state postage stamps were still valid until Feb.14, 1968, the cut-off date for any pre-decimal stamp (state or Commonwealth).

Thank you 22crows.

I think this also explains a postcard with mixed postage, the card has a a Tasmanian and a Australian stamp.

Lovely Cards Johan.
Highly desired in Tasmania, I'd warrant.
