Note: I change the Subject Title to make it shorter.

I recently purchased this cover but it sold for only a little over $6. Seller description listed the stamp as #10. Either it isn't a #10 or not having 4 margins lower the value more than I thought it would. I looked at several websites for help to ID it and I am not able to determine if it's a 10 or 11.
I do not detect any recutting of any lines on my stamp. The lines in George's "ponytail" and lines around the toga appear to be similar to a #10. I bought this cover for the cancel not the stamp, so if it is a #11, I won't be disappointed.

Note: To my eye the stamp color is closer to the full cover photo above

I had scanned the stamp at 1200dpi and used the optimizer to make it smaller. I don't know why it doesn't open in a separate window when clicked on like the full cover does. You can see good quality details of it if you enlarge it on your screen.

Probably a #11 on an 1856 or '57 cover. I do believe an 1851 cover would have a red cancel in July. I have a couple 10/10A 1851 covers with red York, PA CDS.

Thanks sinclair. I have an 1852 Mar 6 front only folded stampless cover with the same blue cancel as this cover. Do you have info on when red or other color cancels were used?

All I have is my own general observations as a cancel collector. I would be surprised to see red used later than 1851 but surprises do happen. The last York, PA cover that I purchased is a double letter rate, 1853ish, cover with green cancels

It is a nice cancel on an overall nice cover. I note that the stamp is not just a no margins example, but the design at the top left and bottom right is actually cut into. On a cover that does not really matter though since its value is in its cancelation.
