I showed this cover, with another cover that gave this one away, to a cover collector at a stamp show and he stated this is a very scarce cover and he said he has only seen one other. Clue, this is a legal cover

Joseph Novosel is a podiatrist (foot doctor) and is still practicing at the same address and phone # ( google him). How is this a legal cover? Is he suing over planters warts?

Jamesw, I suggest you not to believe everything you see on Google. Dr. Novosel doesn't practice at that address nor does he have that telephone number you listed. I usually contribute articles to the Back of the Book section of this site. This cover, which I found very interesting, only lasted a few weeks in postal history but I was mistaken, all I received were sarcastic remarks. I think I will stay with my back of the book section on this site where I won't have to wonder if the contributors are plilatelists.

Hi

I'm interested in what you are seeing that is special in this cover. I see a Common Stamp and an early date, but not special. What are youseeing?

thanks

Joe

A agree with the direction alub takes. The title line states "Quiz for cover collectors", yet asks no question of any sort. What is the point of your post?

The one interesting aspect of this cover, is that it has a stamp on a label, pasted on the cover and then used. I'm assuming its some sort of label allowing it to be affixed.

That is certainly at least somewhat unusual, and of questionable legality. It appears to have been accepted.

I'm not sure what would be illegal about a stamp being affixed to a label that is affixed to a cover, unless one were re-using a stamp that had already passed thru the mail, or the piece violated thickness & stiffness standards for that class of mail, or ... what?

I'm also not sure about the 'quiz', but folks often think that something ought to be as obvious to everyone else as it is to them.

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

JoNo and return addressee is Joseph Novosel. I assume that JoNo knows what he is talking about with this cover.

Trust me JoNo I'm very skeptical of much I see on the internet, but google, used wisely as a research tool, can be very handy. And googling Joseph Novosel Beaumont Tx receives over two dozen listings at various sites, most reputable directories. And most every listing has the same address and phone number as on your cover. That's hardly coincidence. Admittedly some of the listings are old, but the quantity of listings tells me he's a real guy. (...and judging by 51Stud's response, he may even be you!)
I certainly didn't mean to insult you, but you have to see the irony of a podiatrist and planters (ok, so the wart is actually spelled plantar) on the same cover.
You're being very mysterious, and that can be a lot of fun, but ya gotta lighten up. No one's trying to be a heel.

Someone stuck their foot in their mouth. The OP is not talking, suspense is driving me nuts.

So many puns, so little time.
