I thought this was a good looking envelope from the famous Taj Mahal Hotel in India.
Cancel is from 1979.

These privately manufacured hotel covers are just thematic ephemera.

Here is the real deal from postal history point of view.

Tajmahal Hotel was provided with a PO in 1946 but it seems it got closed down by 1979 and reopened later.

The Tajmahal Sub Post Office (PIN 400001) still exists in the Tajmahal Hotel complex, now functioning under Kalbadevi HPO in Mumbai City South Division of Mumbai Region of Maharashtra Circle of India Post.

The cds of Tajmahal Combined Post and Telegraph Office is a telegraph datestamp indicated by TEL., not postal.

The basic type of this telegraph screwhead cds i.e. without the district name, is illustrated as Cat. No.11 in the Postal Workshop Stamp Book (Catalog) 1923 under "Price List of Stamps and Seals Class E: Stamps Used in Head and Sub Offices".

Unfortunately, because of Anglophile PM Nehru, Br. India stamps, postal stationeries and auxiliary stationeries like this Inland Telegraph Form, were continued to be used even after independence , which were officially demonetized only from April 1,1957 following the Postal Notification dt. March 28,1957 issued by MM Philip, Director General, Posts and Telegraphs Department.
