So White Ace will continue? I hope that's true, but they did have a "final" clearance sale of all their pages a few months ago.
I know this because I, very unusually for me, went ahead and bought hundreds of dollars of White Ace pages for a few albums I was still debating using as my main albums (with Scott and a few other choices) for United Nations and Israel. White Ace's announcement that they were closing shop and that this would be the last opportunity to buy these pages, made me decide to buy them. Plus I bought some other White Ace pages on the spur of the moment since they weren't going to ever be available again.
I'm not upset in any way. Really. White Ace pages are good, but if they had continued along in business, I would not have bought all these pages. Instead, I would have continued to consider which albums I wanted to use for UN and Israel (and the others). And when I made a decision I would have gone ahead and "started" to buy those pages group by group over a period of years. I bought them all at once, however, because I thought it was my last opportunity.
Again, I'm not angry, but just pointing this out. A "closing down forever" sale sure makes people want to buy your products. Now if they go back into business under a new owner, can I return any page groups I decide I don't want? I probably wouldn't do that, but it would be interesting to know.
I'm glad White Ace will (apparently) remain in business as I think their pages are unique, very different from other manufacturers' pages. My main complaints about WA pages was their small size designed for 3-ring binders which I don't much like, and their insistence of including spaces for both blocks of se-tenant stamps and singles of the same stamps. That made no sense to me. Either one or the other, please.
I guess I'll look forward to June (or whenever) to see if they're going to remain in business or not. I'm still missing my 2014 UN supplement!
