Hi Petert4522, Yes I was inquiring on learning more about this stamp. I know that there are two identical Japanese stamps from around the same time period listed in stamps world but for me , as I am a beginner at collecting , it is quite hard to differentiate them. Maybe you can help me out, what is your opinion ?

There are two 15 sen values but only one is purple, Scott #80. The first issue has a 30 sen value in purple which may be causing the confusion.

This has a postal cancellation. Many stamps from this era have telegraph cancellations (hard to tell the difference without experience or reading knowledge of the characters). Those are more common and worth less.

While this stamp has a Scott catalog value of around 50c, the trimmed perfs at upper right and lower left corner damage reduce the value to a minimum.
