Unusual Venezuelan Stamp

The stamp is marked in black 1933 at the top and then 22 1/2 at the bottom. It looks like 99 1/2 though the way it is written. The stamp itself is pinkish with whorls on it that marked it look like an optical illusion. Surely someone will know what this is. it is 25 centismo but hard to see because of the way it is made.

It is Sc#308 or #309 depending on design. (1933)

What makes it difficult is the Winchester Burelage over the design of the stamp.

Here is the un-overprinted stamp Sc#298 with burelage.

thank you. It is this one in fact. It looks so different in real life. These two are not at all with holes like some I saw. I still dont quite understand the concept but they look like they would be rare but evidently they are not that big of a deal.

Rod to the rescue!

The first image also shows why using stamps with a blue burelage is not a good idea when you also use blue and blue violet cancels on mail.

it seems this would constitute some irregularity which usually makes stamps more valuable but in this case it seems to be a negative
