I recently acquired a group of old auction material and the stamps were either seperated over the years from their associated paperwork or became disorganized. I am trying to match what I have to a particular HR Harmer lot folder with the HR Harmer Trans Atlantic Sales London and New York printed front, sale date 28 January 1942, Lot 378. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to borrow the catalog from the APRL. I've done it several times, always for catalogs which are impossible to find for sale and it seems those are also the older ones.

I recently borrowed the four volumes of the H.R. Harmer sale of the FDR collection in 1946, for instance.

Give them a call and ask if the have it.
