I bid 5¢ just to get the ball rolling...and as Jim pointed out, shipping is free. At least I've got that going for me. |

3018 happens to be the same year that the USPS is projected to not lose money. |

Gold foiled stamps. I have a set of Dominican Republic flight stamps with high face value. I should use them to airmail Christmas cards from there. Imagine! If they exist, USPS may be able to teleport people, parcels, and letters?, maybe, for less than todays postage cost, and they will make Billions. No need for postage. Mike |

The seller knows what he has and is honest about what worthless garbage it is. You've got to admire him for that. This is easily the funniest ebay lot description I've ever read. Thanks for sharing! |

Just for clarity, the $10,000 price has been removed, so it's only an outright auction now, starting at .01. And yes, thanks for sharing. That was a great writeup by the seller! |

Maybe he was trying to make a statement showing what a rip off almost all subscription items represent.
Some of those foreign gold foil stamps are worth $. I've sold some from Cambodia & Laos for $20-30. |

Interesting bit of reverse psychology there. Bidding all the way up to 11 cents. |

At least the stamps come with a nice folder. The folder has to have some value. |

I did something like this many years ago, but I was selling an unopened set of Score baseball cards. My description was matter of fact and I seem to recall saying somewhere in the listing that it would make an excellent fireplace starter. The buyer was a serviceman stationed fairly nearby and he told me that he only bid on it because the listing was funny. I paid the shipping, and I think I broke even. I told the buyer he didn't have to take delivery, but he insisted. |
