Okay I have been sifting through this box of stamps that have in the house for years and I ran across these two stamps. When I was looking up valuation at first I found matching pics that were saying it wasn't that valuable. But I saw there were a lot identical looking stamps and they were all worth different dollar amounts and then I looked at the 544 and feel out of my chair. I counted the perforations on actual pics of the 544 and used a ruler to confirm the dimensions and it looks like it might be it and best of all they are still attached to each other, Please give me some expert insight on whether I hit the jackpot or it's the twenty dollar variety.

$20?? More like the $0.20 variety. (Times 2, of course!)

Feel free to get yourself back in your chair now.

Sorry...

Looks most likely like a flat plate stamp, #498. Here's an article talking about how to tell flat vs. rotary vs. offset printing.

Pair doesn't demonstrate any offset characteristics...

99.999% it's 498
