So, Im reorganizing some of our primers from the 1800s when I think I see a stamp. No, two...on the dust jacket of one of the primers. The primer has the original owner's name which is also the name on the cover and is dated November 19th 1878. The gentleman was a school teacher in WV.
Can you guys hekp? Im at a loss om tje 5 cent stamp on the right. I havent exactly gotten past the 3 possibilities on the left yet either. Any info appreciated.

You know, it was late...i cant see... The new day brings clarity. It was the 15c not a 5c as I thought. It was a 15c. SO, its identified. Heres a pic of the back of the book just how I found it. Theres some text affixed to it. I think from the publisher and this was the cover it came in. Ill get some more pics of that later.
We collect a LOT of things. I buy sell and trade on anything plus picking. My side business is antique and vintage items. LonesomeDoveEmporium on etsy and tarmaxfiel-0 on ebay. Any and all books are another interest of mine (stamps being an obsession and all). Just happen to pick up a bunch of school books from the 1800s at a SW VA flea market a couple of years ago and this was one of them. Probably have about 35 primers in all in varying conditions. I've found tons of stamps and covers in the course of my secondary busuneds.
