Bloods Despatch Counterfeit

Hi

Have this stamp(?)on laid paper. Doesn't appear to be any type of an envelope. More like writing paper. Located the stamp in Scott Catalog and the image in the Catalog appears to be slightly different to my eye. I know counterfeiting is a problem in the hobby and am wondering if this is something anyone would recognize as fake. Any and all comments appreciated.

It appears to be a "Paid Receipt" for $1.00

I am going to venture a guess too! Looks like part of a document/ maybe an insurance policy from that word wrote on it. Looks like a dollar paid for $140 policy coverage. Or is it $1.00 fee for delivery of an insurance policy. Not knowledgable about cancellation to comment.

Thank you for your input. I've searched the internet and culled some info but was unable to find anything similar in the form of images. I think you may have hit the nail on the head with the suggestion this may be a Paid Receipt. These types of items weren't designed for Postal use so if I call this a stamp that might be a mistake. Finding it in a stamp collection lead me to believe it was a stamp but the fact that it wasn't on an envelope and contained notes instead of an address left me scratching my head. I'm going to have to research Blood's Despatch further. I'd like to see if they were involved in other business activities other than mail delivery. Appreciate your interest in my post.
