Check this stamp out. How and why it ever got separated like this, I have no clue. The stamps is roughly the same size as a normal #66.

Any thoughts?

This might happen if it was attached with an affixing machine. I don't know if anyone was using them in Hawaii at the time, but they were being used in the continental US for about 20 years by then.
