That Riverdale cover looks like a hand cancel rather than machine.

Here's one from Oakland, CA, July 2018.

This friend of mine sends me postcards fairly often. Most of them have "spray-on" cancels, but machine cancels like this still show up from time to time.

PERF 10 -- CHEWY is a great PET mail-order company. Great shipping, service and prices. We have been buying from them for several years and have never had a problem.

Interesting that many postal cards show up, including ones from this current year. Does the old cancelling equipment handle cards better than the new?
