I believe this is a private perforation ... would someone please identify for me? And perhaps give an estimate of its value? It's sound, so the only flaws are what can be seen in the scan.

Oops, only after posting did I discover 51studebaker's advice on another thread and look this one up at stampsmarter.com -- it's Mail-o-meter Type IV. Still have no idea of the value...

In terms of value, you can use ebay search (filter for "sold" listings) to get an idea for similar stamps/condition.
