I've a couple of empty spaces in the New Zealand section of my SG New Imperial album that I'm wondering about. These spaces are for the 1d Commerce issue that contain "dots". I'd like to fill the spaces but have no idea what I'm looking for when searching for the dots. Could someone help me out and give me some details about what I should be looking for? Thanks, John

The dots are in the margins between the stamps but they are often cut out by the perforations. They are printed on a different plate made by W R Royle & Sons.

The cheapest stamp is only 50p in the 2018 Gibbons so I'd be inclined to contact a dealer in New Zealand who knows their stuff and you'll be able to get the stamps you need

Roly Runciman is a gentleman and an expert on the 'Universal' issue.

Try his site here: http://www.stamps4u.co.nz/

It runs a step-by-step process to work out where you Universal stamp fits into the many options available.

Contact him if you have questions, undoubtedly he can supply you with anything you need.

This album page posted earlier may be of interest.

If anyone wants it, I can post higher resolution images of the individual sections.

My pleasure, jdmdregs. This page was put together in the late 1940's so I just hope the conventional thinking of that period has not changed over time.
