I read somewhere that one can use citrus degreaser to safely remove used stamps from their cover, but I forgot where. Can someone tell me how to do this?
Using Pure Citrus for this purpose is on more than one YouTube video. It will depend on how well one can get all the adhesive off the stamp without damaging the stamp. There are some stamps with internal cuts intended to destroy stamps lifted from an envelope; some people are good at keeping them intact, some are not.
An alternate is just to trim the backing envelope closely around the stamp. Freeform shapes can have a square cut around it. That's done with a steel ruler and hobby knife or a mount cutter.
