Please help me to identity following Italian stamps.
This is Italian Ten Cents 1879 stamps. (Michel Cat. # 38A Rosakarmin)
But they are with gray color ???
This stamps has same watermarks - big crown.
Who has an idea?
discoloration? Forgeries?
Stamps are not reported by any Italian catalog (CEI, Sassone, Unificato)
Not even for the Colonies 10 cents were issued Gray.

Complete newbie, regarding Italy.
Wild guess: Could be a "colour changeling" perhaps?

The only Rosine to Black, I have seen occurred on a German Issue.
Light or chemical damage.

I think I see a red tinge on the far right stamp?
