20th Century US Fancy Cancels, Seeking Information

These came in an cheap worldwide lot I bought on ebay. Only information I have so far is that they may be from Plantsville, Conn.

They depict a fly, star and Indian, some in magenta, some in black. I've spotted a couple covers via Google (quite expensive, actually), but have not seen stand alone blocks or anything.

Any information, such as background, would be greatly appreciated.

Standalone singles exist, removed from covers.

The fancy types here are problematic. They are only recorded used in 1930 or 1931 on specific dates. The stamps shown here are from 1933. Also by covers seen, the Plainsville postmaster was apparently careful either to tie a single stamp to a cover or place one strike on each stamp. That's not done here. He was also careful to neatly strike each cancel since he was essentially creating something for a collector. Many strikes here are sloppy.

No question to my mind that these are posthumous. Somebody got hold of the retired handstamps in 1933 or even later. Interesting, but not postally used.
