Welcome, Gunny!
Lots of expertise on the forum. Experts in just about any field you might want info on. Opinions on anything you may want advice on. Strap in and hold on!
My grandfather was a collector and died in 1964. Maybe 5 years later, my father brought cartons of his collection home, and I was hooked! I've been a member of APS since I was 15, in 1976. In the 1980's I spent a stint as an auction lot describer for a number of auction houses. They have all been out of business for many years - the instability of employment in the field caused me to change career paths. Stamps, now, are a hobby for me. I still buy like mad, but since I don't pay the mortgage with them, I tend to hang onto what I buy!!
Welcome!!! |
