I did not think I would ever run out of glassines. It now appears that is inevitable. #3 is the one most used so I started looking around at ebay and Mystic and the sticker shock is still wearing off. Are the prices I am seeing there real or is there some super secret society where they can be purchased for under .04 - .07˘ each all in? I will even take used if someone is interested in selling some of their stash.

I just bought 1 box of 1000 of #3 and 1 box of 1000 of #4 from Karl Andersen on ebay. Free shipping for a purchase over $90(if memory serves). With the 15% off ebay coupon, the all in average cost per envelope shipped was 3.8 cents per for new product. I have been trolling for cheaper alternatives but not seeing much else. I bought a box of 1000 new/old stock(probably more like 950) of Westvaco #4's and the cost was still around 3.2 cents per. Envelopes were yellowed but unused.

The shipping is the real bear. The margin that the resellers are making even at 5 cents per(for #3 and 4) including shipping is not significant as I looked into buying wholesale quantities from cenveo. There might be a cheaper alternative out there. Especially if you have a magic free shipping genie.

Bob

In my humble opinion, forget about ebay. Use the links provided by Rogdcam or Ikey-Pikey.

Thanks all for your input. Just need to resign myself to 4˘ each or more all in. (Makes those 1˘ sales that get through tough)
