Welcome to the forum Booklets. It is the 1994 flag over issue with a variety? Because of numbering I am guessing. What was the difference from regular one?

I found a couple of the QEII 65 Anniversary issue booklets, printed on gum side and they only catalogued them at $50 each the 2019 catalogue. Only two were sold at public auction and they are not commonly available on ebay or elsewhere like the hannukkah and hoodo booklet. The two available at public auction last year sold for $385 and $300.

I contacted Robin and asked him what gives. He mentioned that the dealers thought there were a lot available because of publicity. After giving him the data he mentioned that prices were set in April ahead of printing. Given the time passed with lack of availability and prices realized he said that prices should definately be higher than first published. And just for information it is not he that sets the prices on the stamps in the catalogue. He is just the editor. He told me the prices were made up by the dealers listed in the catalogue.

Could someone kindly share what's in the 2019 Unitrade concerning this variety. I have the 2018 and am going to wait until the 2020 to purchase it again...

Thanks

This version present a tagging bar at the top of the edge. Just five recorded, according to me. Mirko Zatka (modern specialist dealer) never seen in his life. I will send all proof from my copy for authenticity. The result : Mr. Harris confirm the existence of this variety.

Welcome to our forum.

Mr. Harris is really quite knowledgeable on the Canadian issues, and other countries as well. You have a desirable item in your collection to say the least.

Happy collecting.

Hi,

I join an image of the tagging bar at the top of the label. The Bk-154Ad described as : large Bluenose on back cover, 49cents US and 86 cents International rates on inside cover. Canada postal address is lowercase.

Particularity of Ad version is : cover open, with TI, and TAG AT TOP OF THE LABEL. The common version is Bk-154Ab, open cover, with TI without any tagging bar at top of label. Price for this one is : 36$.

Mr. Harris never seen before a sample of Bk-154Ad before of mine. Put, for a first time a price in 2019 version : $375.00. I'm sure it's raisen in the next catalogues.

My 25 stamp booklet BK154b also has the tagging bar at the top of both labels.

Is this normal for this issue, or unusual for this particular booklet?

BlackJag : for the Bk-154b, the tagging is common. No untagged at top of label recorded for this issued.
