I Have 16 Of 1c Green Franklin Outside Ordinary Size And Need Help

Hello, My name Egil, 47-year-old man from Norway, has little experience with stamps because I have prioritized collecting banknotes over many years, especially Norwegian banknotes.

But after my Uncle died, I bought his collection of stamps from the family, it's from all over the world, a lot of colonies, china, the Middle East , usa and norway, he gathered for about 40 years.

Size was about 40 full books, and it was a great pleasure when I started the treasure hunt,i actually find some Mao-stamps from the 60,s of high value. I have read a lot about assessment criteria etc but still do not understand everything you are talking about :-)

So to my theme to enter here. This looks like a very good page to early clarify what you have and to learn more about stamps, and to get help for some special stamp

And I want to believe many have the experience of getting the kick, the heartbeat and the dream that YOU have when you think you found something. And then be terribly disappointed that it is a completely ordinary stamp. I understand that those who are experts in this are frustrated by all the "stupid" questions and sometimes they will not give up. But don't forget your own first feeling it gives, the joy and excitement :-) many maybee start in that way...to join the hobby

I have found in the book for the United States 19 pieces of 1C Green Franklin, 3 of size 19 * 22 and ink on the back so they are put back.

I am then left with 16 1C Green Franklin, no ink on the back, various green color levels, mirror image, different cancel marks, and sizes that lie in front of the frames for the famous hunt for number fifteen.

But I don't want to spoil the joy of hunting by posting a picture of everyone at the same time so I put out one and one brand. Then I have a lot of other cent marks from the same period, 2c, 3c, 4c and further with color variations and different sizes.


But I'm not quite sure, is it on this same link, in this thread I'm going to post pictures, of stamps?

Hi Egil and welcome.

The best bet would be to post questions and/or images in the topics that have been created here. So a question about a U. S. stamp should go in the U. S. section, and so on.

If you're not sure what you have or where it's from, the general area should ok. The moderators might move the post to a better location, so that it is seen by those "regulars" that frequent those sections.

I tried to upload photos to a new link in the USA stamp forum but since I read that it is desirable to scan 1200 dpi, it is almost impossible to get the picture down to 200kb and still show the entire stamp when it is initially 3, 5 mb

That's not it Dro Details mattera lot, we are stamp collectors!
Introduce yourself, You will see a link to Introduce yourself at the bottom of this page. Then go to USA classics, peruse the sites. Take your time. James was giving you good advice and trying to help you. And, I want to know what you mean about the stamp you have. I cannot tell from what you write. And, upload a picture, don't worry so much about pixels just show it to start with. Odds are several members can tell you what you have right away.
