I think this is a Iraq stamp...can any help?

Yes it's from Iraq. This is a postal tax stamp,issued in 1948,Michel#Z5II
The overprint means "Rescue Palestine".

Hi Vayolene, can you tell more?
1948 was the year of Israel's independence war, Jordan took hold of the west bank, Egypt - of the Gaza strip. UNRA wasn't there yet, so whom did the tax go to?
