My parcel arrived there on 18 Jan and it is still in transit and not yet shipped overseas on 30 Jan as I type. I went into Royal Mail Chat and found others having similar experiences. Anyone had similar experiences with Langley?

A parcel of mine containing philatelic literature got from ebay auction of Edmonds and Turner Limited, Romford, England, is still stuck at Langley HWDC.

Royal Mail's motto is "Pay and we will delay".

Seriously think they need to buck up, or they will drop in global ranking in no time...

I am sure it is just a mere coincidence that Switzerland is ranked first by the UPC (headquartered in Switzerland ) in the score above.

I have had non-tracking mail from US arriving in Singapore much faster than tracking mail from UK.

Hi Don, our brains are getting too cold. UPC is a code on everything we buy - I believe the outfit in Switzerland is the UPU?

My Mulready cover is stuck at the Dubai customs for assessment now, will they rip open the mail to check? That is my greatest fear.

That is what Indian Customs do all the time with registered/signed-for mail which on average is held for at least 5 days.

In my experience, unregistered parcels, small packets and letters are released quickly by Indian Customs, often without opening and by stamping Passed by Customs cachet.

I have bought philatelic materials only twice from UAE that too from Dubayy but none of them was detained more than a day.

The worst Customs are of those BENELUX countries. I don't have any experience with Lux but Be and Ne are the most irritating.

My item was shipped from uk and it is in Dubai on transit, so why would they be holding on to the parcel? This is absolutely ridiculous.

After almost a month, the package has finally reached Singapore. Hope they didn't open it in Dubai.
