GB & Malta WWII-Era Ration Clothing Books And Coupons

During and for a couple of years after World War II, Britain implemented rationing for many things, including clothing. Booklets called Clothing Books were issued by the Board of Trade, containing clothing coupons, which had to be used whenever purchasing clothing.

A few Clothing Books (for the years 1944-45, 1945-46 and 1946-47) can be seen here:



Examples of the coupons inside the books (each year had a different design, and each page of the booklet was printed in a different colour):





The coupons were printed on paper with the multiple crown SO watermark, which was also used on GB excise revenue stamps.

Malta also issued clothing books and coupons - with designs very similar to those of Britain. These pics show the covers of the 1944-45 and 1946 booklets, plus some coupons from each:







Malta also issued some ration coupons in sheets of 100 - these were perforated and therefore look more like stamps. All Malta issues have the same watermark as those from Britain.

I have a couple of questions about these:
- Does anyone know if these covered in any philatelic (or non-philatelic) literature?
- Are they listed in any catalogue?
- Did other colonies besides Malta follow Britain in issuing clothing books?
There are some online resources containing background information about clothes rationing in Britain, but few deal specifically with the coupons. Regarding the Malta coupons, the only source of information available seems to be a listing on Revenue Reverend: https://www.revrevd.com/malta.html

In the UK they were called Ration Coupons. I have never heard of anyone considering them as stamps. Interesting thought. In the UK rationing got worse immediately after world war two. |For Christmas 1947 my parents had a large pork chop between 3 people to last two days, probably plenty of vegetables no one starved. rationing lasted into the 1950s. Gasoline wasn't rationed after 1940, you couldn't have any unless you were a doctor.
