As far as centering I would venture at least XF maybe Superb. The top right corner and short perf would most likely lower grading. I can't tell if it has original gum or none at all in the scan. It is a beauty though. |

Probably get an 85, it's clearly to the top. It might have some perf issues at the top which could lower it more. |

revcollector, if it is to the top, it has to be within a few pixels or so. It was scanned at an angle, which is deceiving, but if you turn your head, it looks near dead on balls, in all 4 directions. I'd argue it should be a measure to the bottom inner perf indentations, not the outer. The outer is more subjective based on separation. I'd say it's in the 90s...
Where's SewallH when you need him? ping him on the other thread. :)

There is 20%+- less margin at the top then the bottom. (Original image rotated 1.7 degrees to the left and Screen Calipers used to measure) Don |

I stand by low to mid 90s. 20% in a single direction isnt a catastrophic illness warranting a 15pt drop. Is it a 100 gem, no but the margins are still really good, especially horizontal. Agree that there are Perf issues but this shouldn't impact grade, but may deduct from discount level from SCV. |

the total lack of consensus on the grade of ths stamp should be required reading for those that see no value in getting a stamp professionally graded
As for the question of how no gum will affect the value of the stamp, if it were only a VF its value would be about 40-50% of a hinged VF stamp. |

thank you all, great comments while I was a sleep (time difference)
i learned a lot!! I think I will take the gamble and send it in hoping for a 90. of course I will let you all know what came out.
but I see I need to do some reading on the PSE or PF certs first, that might take a while... |
