6c Washington P 12, Just To Be Sure, I'm On The Right Path ?. 336, 362 Or 379, Some Input, Next

P12 6c red/orange Washington 1908-11

1908 : DW = #336

1909 : Bluish = #362

1911 : SW = #379


I can see the number 8 on the postmark / cancel ... is it the year or other cancelmark number, there is evidence that this is made in 1908 or stamps made in 1909-11 can get stamp with the number 8



right ? so I cant get any closer without split S and D watermarks ?

It's not Bluish Paper, so that eliminates the 362.
You have to water mark it to determine if it's 336 or 379. No other option.
They are both common varieties, and this is heavily damaged.
Worn perfs, major center horizontal crease, major crease at bottom right corner. And it's not VF, only F centering.
Put it in fluid. If it's a single line (or you can see no WM) then it's a 379, if its double line, then hits a 336.
