The stamps were withdrawn after two weeks, allegedly due to copyright issues or the like. Does anyone have any more information as to why the stamps were withdrawn. If copyrights were violated, then becuase of what ?

Thanks, that is a likely scenario. Assuming the postal authorities did not seek permission with FIFA to display the Cup on the stamps ?

Would be nice if someone could confirm.

Yes,I can confirm that.
And on August 8th a new set was issued by turkish post,with no FIFA Cup symbol.

Yes, there was something in 2014 especially.
The Bulgarian issue even skipped whatever reference with Brazil as well as FIFA.



As I know, there were (are) problems with the Olympics also.
