The hooded London postmark is a standard receiving mark. The violet received/answered stamp would have been applied by the addressee.

Ercole Provasoli might be a district in Milan but hopefully someone whose Italian is much better than mine will offer an accurate translation!

Thank you vayolene.

I ran Ercole through an online translator and it gave me Hercules but the translater offered no results for Provasoli.

I think you're absolutely right!
