Can distinctly remember that ebay got us to change from auction listings to BIN so that the buyer did not have to wait till the end of the auction to get that item. The buyer wanted it now not in a week or more! |

At least as of now, GTC listings still show in 30 day increments (i.e., you can see how long until they "renew"). I suspect that they also show in the ending soon and newly listed searches when the listings are near the end and after they renew so at least those elements are still there - my own experience is that BIN covers tend to sell at the beginning and end of their listings from people who are browsing those listings, in addition to the people who find things in searches during the listing's lifetime. Nonetheless I continue to strongly object to the mandated GTC change, simply because it's not how I want to do business and ebay is making it more difficult for me to handle my material the way I want to handle it. I remain convinced it will also reduce the variety of material being offered, which isn't good for ebay or for buyers either. Since I have a store subscription I'll continue to use my monthly BIN allotment but lots of my unsold material will now be going to other channels. |

Just listed a BIN listing on ebay and it came out as 30 days listing. So they stopped the "Good Till Cancelled" only for BIN listings? |

I had 4 lots that were on a 30 days listing (not GTC) end today. ebay decided on its own to relist 3 of them GTC, while the 4th the left on my unsold page. Similar thing happened to me on the 26th. |

The mandatory GTC for fixed price came in on March 18. Anything that is fixed price newly listed will have to be GTC. Anything that was fixed price 30 days or less prior to that will end but if it is relisted it will automatically be GTC.
Auctions have not been affected at this time. |

"Anything that was fixed price 30 days or less prior to that will end but if it is relisted it will automatically be GTC" But I didn't relist the items in question, ebay just arbitrarily relisted some of them. |

If there is some confusion, GTC means it is a 30 day listing that automatically relists. It counts as a new listing every 30 days. So listing fees, if applicable, get charged each time. |

I have no confusion. The items in question were listed before the change and were not GTC, they were to end after 30 days if not sold. ebay just decided on their own to relist some as FTC and leave others unsold like they were supposed to be left, leaving ot up to me to relist them (when they would then have become GTC because they give us no other choice, except auction). |

eBay's relisting algorithms are frequently hit or miss. I get emails each month regarding "automated listing failures". I can only imagine that this shift to GTC is increasing those anomalies. |

they did it to me again this morning - 5 items ended their 30 days, they auto relisted one as GTC and sent the other 4 to my unsold folder |

Warning noted since your first post. I'm manually ending all listings a few hours before they're supposed to end so ePay can't play any games. The pox on their new algorithm ! |

I just noticed this on ebay UK. Most annoying. The last thing I want is GTC format generating endless fees for ebay. |
