Have just finished a very long chat with an ebay rep. I can no longer choose a duration to list with both BIN & auction listing. I can only list my items as Good Till Cancelled.

My business structure has a different type of stamp category for the 5 days per week. I am a BIN lister using 7 day duration that no longer exists.

Have just upgraded from two basic stores to two feature stores because of the amount of listings I needed per month for the way I list. All for nothing. No warning......

Anyone else found this issue with ebay?

John,
I thought I recall that you were doing away with ebay stores (too expensive)
Have you had a re think?

Your ebay regime is way beyond my understanding, I list 1 lot at a time and takes minutes (a real newbie)

Hi Rod.

No ebay was OK I did not like the listing amounts per month.
With these new changes a ebay store is a waste of money for selling stamps.

Had a plant store planned to open this OCT with ebay & an on line web store.Plants do not have the seller competition like stamps. So next Oct I will open an ebay store again for plants as the business structure suits plant selling.

Have just cancelled my two ebay stores.

Looking for a new venue to sell.

Their changes have destroyed my business structure totally.

So this change really means unless you are a fast & free with a Top Rated Seller your listings will never be found. I'm out!

How things can change so quickly!

Postie just delivered 65kg of kiloware. Still have 30kg still to sort from the last lot.

Have just reopened my 2 ebay stores to basic without penalty.

I am curious, how did getting a delivery change the fact that e-bay didn't meet your listing needs?

There is very little competition in selling kiloware. After opening the incoming boxes there is a lot of world that has not been invoiced. So incoming looks to be over 80kg.

For $27 per month per store is worth the funds. To list and be on page 350,000 for most of Australia sets & singles is not going to work.

After today's lot incoming. World on & off paper old & new has grown to around 45kgs+.

Have approx 25kg++ of Australia Kiloware (off paper sorted) bundleware from the 1930's to 2009.

Another 30kg misc Australia dec & pre-dec. A mess of envelop, cigarette packets small boxes all on & off paper.

Plus my normal Australia very recent.

If I loose 3 days of my listing so I am only dealing with one specialist stamp area per store. I am back in business + I put in my vote of no confidence to this listing change by swapping my store subscriptions from 2 x feature to 2 x basic.

I would suggest looking at HipStamp. Basic stores cost a whopping US$5 per month and the amount of allowed BIN listings is huge, with no expiration, so no re-listing fees.
I sell mostly covers there. Last two orders: one for 76 covers, and the other for 52. Traffic is on the upswing there as more and more collectors and sellers get fed up with ebay (I still sell there without a store and using only free listings).

I agree with doc that Hipstamp traffic is increased. Over the past 18-24 months I have bought much more from Hip than ebay.

Had a lot of trouble get ebay by chat but did!

All new listing will automatically be changed to Good Till Cancelled.

As soon as I can I am fast tracking my plant sales. I have had a gut full.

Best match I nearly got over but this listing one is over the top. But put both best match and all listing Good Till Cancelled is the perfect storm.

Wished I had more confidence in other on line selling companies.

All my listings yesterday were normal 7 days no worries! Have no stamp listings on Good Till Cancelled. Will be listing around 75 items and that is it. And another 75 listing in my other store. Just to see what happens.

This change is going to hurt ebay unless you have a bunch of random listings.

So I had a look at HipStamps a did a search for Australia decimal.

Search "australia decimal" in Australia & Oceania
102 listings found. Showing results 1 to 48.

Search "australia kiloware" in Australia & Oceania
We couldn't find any matching listings for your search.

Search "australia kgv 1914-38" in Australia & Oceania
We couldn't find any matching listings for your search.

This is a great place sell? This is not a good look!

Not if you play around with the search parameters, like instead of abbreviating KGV, you put in:

Search "australia king george v"
417 listings found. Showing results 1 to 48.

You clearly have an axe to grind so have at it. I made a suggestion based upon my experience. My sales are picking up big-time, and I'm constantly finding things for my collections that aren't seen on ebay. Trying HipStamp would cost you very little in terms of cost, and time (since BIN items can be synched between the two sites). ...whatever.

Please do not get me wrong docgfd. Your info is a treasure. But I have had ebay business model destroyed today and an invoice for 65kg of stamps that is not going to pay for itself.Could add more but I will spare you!

Have a heap of listings ready to change them over right now if I can figure out how. There never going to sell on ebay with this listing model.Plus have approx another 1,500 I can put together at leisure.

But my search point is how many people sell Australia Kiloware on HipStamps. It worries me if you have to get a precise search word combination before my listing shows up.

I searched Australia 2018 and got nothing. Does that mean no one is selling Australia 2018(I am being serious).

Australia decimal as a search should show up all decimal listing not 102 out of a million Australia listings. I need to see things working before I can change or do.

John,
at $5 a month, can you not try both institutions in parallel ?
Pick your favourite selling stamps, and post on both, then judge the response.

New software is always tricky, until you get the feel for it.
