Hi there..
I have 4 first day cover albums.. dates ~ 1960's-1990's.
They are in perfect condition.
Just wondering how much they are worth? Trying to sell them all as a bundle or separate.

Many thanks!

Its really hard to say without counting how many covers in total, and without looking at each one. The Scott Catalog or an Australian equivalent might list each one by stamp number and give you a rough value for a FDC. I'd be searching Australian Stamp Dealer websites......! Scott catalogs can sometime be found at local library, or contact a local stamp club.
Hope this helps a little.

Hi stampiepom,

Does the collection start with the decimal currency issues (February 1966)?

If so, are the high face value navigators present (these are 40c, 50c, $1, $2 and $4 stamps)?

Some FDCs are worth more depending on who made them. I can see some of the early covers have the WSC monogram (Wesley Cover Service).

Opinion:
They average out at around (Catalogue) $2 each.
Selling at 25% of Catalogue = 50c each

Multiples on cover eg Olympics or definitives up to $15 ea (catalogue) = $4

I think I recall about 10 years ago, a FULL set of FDC was around $800
Most of the value, was in the early covers.

Wesley are Lovely covers, some have a premium.

Being housed in Albums like yours, certainly a premium but who knows how much.
Can be a tough item to move.

Take any values you see in dealer's lists with a large grain of salt. The bulk of their prices is for their cost of handling, overhead, salaries, profit margins, investing their money in holding onto the things until they sell, etc. If you offer them to a dealer you might get wholesale value if the deal actually was looking to buy these which are readily available in the wholesale market. Your best bet is to look on ebay and ignore the starting prices of things being auctioned and instead go directly to Items Sold filter and see what these actually sell for. Then go ahead and put them up for auction on ebay with a silly low starting bid and be happy for whatever anyone actually bids on them because that will be their actual value. Best wishes.
