It seems that Italy prices realized (if they sell at all) vs catalog value are considerably out of sync with the majority of the rest of WW. Middle to higher catalog Italy of say $50. - $200 seem to be at about 3-5% or less of catalog and this is whether I am buying or selling. Is Italy just temporarily out of favor in the collector market or is there something else going on, or is it just me? Thanks all for the feedback. Paul
Italy is in a bad recession. Never transitioned well from the Eurozone change over. Poor educational system. Lagging in online commerce and innovation in general.
From my perspective colonies and BoB are still doing fairly well. Front of the book is struggling. All of the great commemorative sets from the 20's and 30's are dirt cheap.
I see colonies and BOB doing better but still have difficulty getting any more than 10% of catalog even on some of the better items. As rogcam eluded to - buy buy buy and hold for recovery at least that's what I am trying to convince myself of.
